Funeral - Hereford Cremetorium
I can HIGHLY recommend Ruth for any special occasion. At very short notice she played at my Mum's funeral recently and it brought a truly special quiet beauty and despite the sadness, the beautiful music she played discreetly was so very comforting. I will certainly book her again for I hope a happier occasion such as a birth, wedding or celebration of life in all ways.

Dear Ruth, Thank you so much for providing the music during my 80th Birthday Dinner.
What a nice sound the harp is. Your playing added quality to the atmosphere throughout
the evening. I overheard many appreciative comments about your playing which was very
much enjoyed by everyone. Your contribution to making the dinner a most happy and
successful occasion was very great indeed. Thank you again and I wish you continued
success in your musical career. with kind regards, John Lewis.

Recital at New Haw Library
On the evening of Friday 10th May visitors to New Haw Library experienced a delightful recital of music played on the harp by professional harpist Ruth Cartledge. Some of the classical pieces we heard were 'Sonata in C minor' by S. G. Dussek, 'Canon in D' by Johann Pachelbel and well known themes like 'Greensleeves', 'Amazing Grace' and 'Ash Grove'. Later she showed us that modern popular music like Elvis's 'Can't help falling in love' and 'I dreamed a dream' from Les Miserables is well suited to the harp. Between the pieces she told us the history of the harp and a little of the lives of the classical composers. Members of the audience were pleased to be able to examine close up the complicated structure of the harp. A very enjoyable and educational performance.

Dear Ruth Jo and I are now back from our honeymoon and settling back in to every day life. We wanted to send a short note to say thank you for playing at our wedding. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to listen to much of your playing whilst we were having photographs taken, but we've heard a lot of good comments from our guests and the music for the ceremony was beautiful. All the best Alex and Jo
